Westhoughton Motorcycle Club To All WMCC Members It is my very sad duty as chairman , to inform members of the passing of Rex Higham. For those of you not aware, Rex died on Thursday 24th October. I received a call from Gavin around 08:00 hrs on that day telling me the very sad news. I am sure he will be sorely missed by all that knew him, and our thoughts are with his wife Janet and his wider family. A condolence card and flowers will be sent on behalf of all Club members. Details of funeral arrangements will be made known when we have the details ourselves. Rex was the clubs oldest and probably the longest serving member, having joined the club when it was known as Westhoughton Modern and Classic MCC. He was a well-liked man and enjoyed nothing more than talking about bikes, and riding them. He also enjoyed the bike rallies at Oddballs and NABD, especially with Charlie and Joe, and didn’t let his health problems stop him from doing so. What he didn’t know about bikes, and machinery in general was not worth knowing. It has been suggested that the TRUE BIKE award be amended to include Rex’s name as a lasting tribute, an idea that I and the committee wholly support. R.I.P Rex Alan
